Position: Content Development Specialist

Objective (Content Development)

To support the development and integration of content into programmes and marketing campaigns that equip our customers (and future customers) with the knowledge to make better-informed decisions.

Job Responsibilities

· Develop and deploy content in the form of social media posts (tweets, blogs), success stories, articles, data reports, product information sheets, website, and blog content, eBooks, email campaigns, videos, infographics, presentations, webinars, and the likes.

· Develop content that:

· is creative and compelling

· increases brand awareness

· drives engagement, and lead generation of revenue across all segments of our business

· equips customers/clients with the knowledge to make better-informed decisions and communicates a point-of-view around strategic topics and trends shaping our business

· is consistently clear, concise, and trustworthy

· meets high-quality standards and provides clear benefits to the consumer

· ensures consistent message tone and voice

· can be repurposed in new forms

· is targeted to various personas and stages of the buying cycle

· Ensure a consistent professional edge and outlook to all outgoing materials

· Liaise with the marketing unit, on the development of new products and services at minimal cost while still ensuring quality standards are maintained

· Maintain adherence to all Marketing Communications standards and practices related to our corporate image and perception.

Key Performance Indicators and Rates

· Generate content and drive customer engagement across all media platforms – 25%

· Plan and deploy content for all marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities – 25%

· Continuously monitor trends and strategically implement to the benefit of the organisation. -15%

· Regular update of blogs, correspondents, and company communication platforms as well as PR matters across all media platforms – 10%

· Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management – 10%

Requirements for the Content Development Specialist Position:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.

· Proven experience (2+ years) in content creation and development, preferably in a corporate setting.

· Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.

· Proficiency in using content development tools and software.

· Ability to create engaging content across multiple formats and channels.

· Knowledge of digital marketing principles and best practices, including SEO.
