We are an ambitious company on a mission to build the most convenient and largest fashion website in West Africa. We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent OpenCart Developer with extensive experience in developing and managing OpenCart modules and extensions.
Responsibilities:
- Homepage Update:
- Update the new homepage design. The front end has already been created on Netlify using vanilla JavaScript.
- Email System Enhancements:
- “We Miss You” Campaign: Design and implement an email sequence to be sent twice a month to customers who haven’t shopped in two weeks, offering a limited-time discount code.
- Abandoned Cart Reminder: Develop an email sequence that includes an urgency message, a discount code, testimonials, and a timer to encourage customers to complete their purchase.
- First Purchase Incentive: Create an email offering a complementary product discount for customers making their first purchase.
- Post-Purchase Emails: Implement emails that include order tracking information and a request for a review.
- Welcome Email: Design a visually appealing welcome email with images.
- Note: All email templates should be easily editable.
- Payment Gateway Integration:
- Integrate Amazon Pay and Stripe as new payment gateway options.
- Shipping Integration:
- Integrate DHL, UPS, or FedEx with an automated tracking system.
Required Experience:
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in OpenCart development.
- Module and Extension Development: Extensive experience in building, installing, uninstalling, indexing, and validating OpenCart modules and extensions.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in PHP and MySQL.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Expertise in creating and customizing OpenCart modules and extensions.
- Experience with MVC frameworks and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of OpenCart’s architecture and best practices for configuration.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of web security practices and measures.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of diligence and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and bug-free code.
Preferred Qualifications:
- E-commerce Expertise: Experience in the fashion e-commerce industry is a plus.
- Performance Optimization: Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.
