Our client, a multinational agriculture company in Ghana, is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in employee relations and payroll administration. The HR Officer will handle various aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organisation to ensure a productive and harmonious workplace aligned with the company’s goals and values.
location: Ho, Volta Region, Ghana
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle all HR functions, including payroll processing and administration.
Address and resolve employee relations issues, including illnesses and other workplace concerns.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives.
Organise and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
Collaborate with management to identify and address staffing needs and organizational development.
Plan and execute recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new employees.
Monitor employee performance, implement appraisal systems, and recommend strategies for improvement.
Conduct regular training and professional development programs to enhance employee skills.
Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution processes fairly and effectively.
Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring organisational compliance.
Design and promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, labour inspectors, and recruitment agencies.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Human Resources, preferably within the agricultural industry.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems and employee benefits management.
Excellent organisational and supervisory skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
