We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Java development to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with our product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our applications deliver the best possible user experience.

How you will contribute:
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems that power our web and mobile applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience working with SpringBoot or any other Java based enterprise framework.
- Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements.
- Optimise and tune the performance of our backend systems to ensure that they are fast, reliable, and scalable.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.
- Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
Your qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on Java development.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.
- Strong understanding of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
- Experience with message queue systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
